    Emergency numbers - who to call in a crisis
    If you need advice in an emergency, or urgently need to speak to someone about a problem, there are several numbers you can call. Some helpful numbers are listed here. For ambulance, fire or police services call triple zero (000).
     

    Fever - children
    Fevers are a sign of infection in the body. Normal body temperature is under 38șC. If your child has a fever, they will have a higher temperature than normal.
     

    Fever - febrile convulsions
    A febrile convulsion is a fit or seizure that occurs in children when they have a high fever. A febrile convulsion is not epilepsy and does not cause brain damage.
